ATTICA. Athens. Ca. 510/500-480 BC. AR tetradrachm (21mm, 16.58 gm, 1h). NGC Choice VF 4/5 - 3/5. Pre-Persian Class. Head of Athena right, hair in waved loops along brow line, wearing earring and crested Attic helmet, single spiral on bowl, the crest box decorated with chevron pattern; large pellet above / AΘΕ, owl standing right with closed wings, head facing, olive sprig behind, all within incuse square. HGC 4, 1589. Seltman Group L. Bright high points contrast the graphite patina of the recesses.
