CORINTHIA. Corinth (?). Ca. 350-250 BC. AR stater (23mm, 8.59 gm, 2h). NGC AU★ 4/5 - 5/5. Pegasus flying left / Head of Athena right, wearing Corinthian helmet pushed back on head. No control marks. Cf. Pegasi II 9 (Uncertain Mint, different style). Ravel -. BCD Corinth -. Noted on holder as possibly a colonial issue. Apparently unpublished. Nicely struck and excellently centered. Struck from magnificent style dies on lustrous surfaces with a touch of sunset toning.
