Trajan (AD 98-117). AV aureus (19mm, 7.05 gm, 7h). NGC Fine 5/5 - 2/5, brushed. Rome, AD 112-113. IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS VI P P, laureate, draped, cuirassed bust of Trajan right, seen from behind / FORVM TRAIAN, frontal view of Trajan's Forum, with six columns, four of which are extended to the roof, entrance in center, four niches containing statues between columns five shields above niches and entrance, roof surmounted by facing quadriga in center with two figures in cart (which appear to be Victory crowning Trajan who holds a scipio aquila), flanked by pair of figures on either side with trophy between them. Calicó 1030. RIC II 255 var. (laureate head right). Evenly circulated with plenty of detail remaining on the reverse.
