Philip V "Royal" 8 Reales 1719 P-Y VF Details (Holed) NGC, Potosi mint, KM-R31, Cal-1491, Lazaro-264. 27.09gm. A pleasing rendition of this perennial favorite "Royal" type, uniformly struck on specially prepared round planchets, and generally encountered in comparable, moderately handled states of preservation. While the noted hole is quite obvious, one comes to expect such a qualifier from this series, which only obscures a portion of the legend and does little to distract from the overall advanced eye appeal of the piece at hand.
