João V gold 12800 Reis 1731/0-M AU55 PCGS, Minas Gerais mint, KM139, LMB-287. A clearly visible overdate variety with a lovely old-gold patina. This example displays only minor traces of the rusty obverse die that was used to strike many coins of this type. Somewhat flat devices limit the assigned grade, but this remains an attractive specimen. Only one graded higher at PCGS.
