Central American Republic gold 2 Escudos 1828 CR-F MS62 NGC, San Jose mint, KM15, Fr-3. Mintage: 2,750. The underlying dark field toning contrasts beautifully with the bright-gold devices on this iconic issue. The pebbled surfaces limit the visual clarity, but this should not be confused with wear as this piece is noticeably free of significant handling. One of three Mint State examples at NGC and desirable to collectors as such.
