British India. Victoria Proof Restrike 1/4 Rupee 1840-(C) PR66 NGC, Calcutta mint, KM453.1, S&W-2.42. 20 Berries - No Initial. Most of the coin is a glowing steel color but the obverse, especially, has some heavier areas of patination that upon first glance look rust-colored. But those areas actually reveal vibrant rainbow colors when titled into the light. Sole "top pop" example at this lofty grade level at NGC and scarce as such.
