Griquatown. British Colony copper Proof 1/2 Penny ND (1815-1816) Proof Details (Surface Hairlines) NGC, KM-Tn2, Hern-GT3. Reeded edge. An elusive non-denominated token type, designed by Thomas Halliday for the London Mission Society. Thought to be a part of the first series of coins minted for use in South African. Some light hairlines on both sides define the details notation, but there is plenty of rose-colored luster on this piece to please the eye.
