CARTHAGE, First Punic War. Circa 264-241 BC. Æ Shekel (24mm, 8.63 g, 6h). Mint on Sardinia. Wreathed head of Tanit left / Horse standing right; Punic bet and taw in monogram form below. CNP 33ab; MAA 59g; SNG Copenhagen (Africa) 209. Brown surfaces, scratch on obverse, red deposits on reverse. Good VF.

Purchased by the consignor from Capitol Stamp & Coin, 3 May 2005. Lot also includes an inventory ticket from Christian Blom.
