Anonymous. 115-114 BC. AR Denarius (19.5mm, 3.43 g, 11h). Unmarked series. Rome mint. Helmeted head of Roma right; X (mark of value) to left / Roma seated right on pile of shields, holding spear; birds in flight to upper left and right; to lower right, she-wolf standing right, head left, suckling the twins Romulus and Remus. Crawford 287/1; Sydenham 530; RSC 176; RBW 1117. Light iridescent toning, metal flaws and lamination errors, some light scratches under tone, some light deposits. Good VF.
