L. Papius. 79 BC. AR Serrate Denarius (19mm, 3.94 g, 5h). Rome mint. Head of Juno Sospita right, wearing goat-skin headdress; hen's head to left / Griffin springing right; guinea-fowl's head below. Crawford 384/1 var. (unlisted control symbols); Sydenham 773; Papia 1; RBW –; CNR 1/126. Light iridescent toning, reverse struck slightly off center, a couple small lamination errors on obverse, a few light scratches under tone. Near EF.
