Hadrian. AD 117-138. Æ Sestertius (33.5mm, 26.32 g, 11h). "Travel series" issue ("Provinces cycle") – The province alone. Rome mint. Struck circa AD 130-133. Laureate and draped bust right / Nilus reclining right, holding reed and cornucopia on which two children are climbing; to right, hippopotamus standing left among reeds; crocodile below. RIC II.3 1704; Banti 561. Green patina, some roughness, scratches on reverse. Fine.
