Anthemius. AD 467-472. AV Solidus (20mm, 4.22 g, 6h). Contemporary imitation. Imitating Rome mint. Struck AD 468 or later. Pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and round shield decorated with soldier on horseback riding right / Two emperors, crowned and in military dress, standing facing, each holding a spear and holding between them a globus cruciger; in field between, IX monogram; CORNOB sic). Cf. RIC X 2823; cf. Lacam 71; cf. Depeyrot 61/1. Minor field marks, die rust, wavy flan. Near VF. Extremely rare imitation of Anthemius.
