Rome, attributed to Girolamo Lucenti (1627-92), Pius V and Innocent XI, a pair of large bronze-gilt uniface medals, comprising (1), Pius V on his beatification in 1672, bust right in Dominican habit, 175mm (cf. Clifford sale 207); and (ii), Innocent XI (1676-89), bust left wearing camauro and mozzetta, 170mm (Ciechanowiecki 456), early casts with some wear to the gilding, in round black frames (one broken) (2) Ex Alain Edrei (1931-2021) collection, Paris [inventory number 147 and 148 in red on their reverses].
