After Moderno (late 15th century), Virgin and Child with two Cherubs, bronze pax, the Virgin and Child on a raised plinth inscribed AVE REGINA CELORVM within an architectural frame with arched scrollwork at top and the base set with the shield of Cardinal Pedro Gonzalez de Mendoza (1428-95); with intact stand on reverse, 114.5 x 72.8mm (Scaglia XIV.1; Avery (1998), pp. 266-7, 187), early cast, slight damage at top, about very fine Ex Alain Edrie (1931-2021) collection, Paris [inventory number 99 in red on reverse]; ex Piasa, Paris, 2-3 April 2001, lot 511.
