Watch List notes:

Flanders, Master of the Judgement of Solomon (c. 1580), Faith, bronze plaquette, Faith or the Church seated on a plinth under an arch, holding a chalice and a cross; trees and presumably Jerusalem in the distance, 87 x 60mm (cf. Weber 706 var.; Bange 1770 var.; Scaglia XI.8 var.; Bargello 342 var.), pierced, a very fine contemporary cast on a thin flan Ex Alain Edrei (1931-2021) collection, Paris [inventory number 114 in red on reverse]. This is part of a series of plaquettes of female personifications seated within an arch. Charity, Prudence, Justice and Temperance are known but the present plaquette of Faith appears not to be recorded.
