Galeazzo Mondella, called Moderno (1467-1528), Hercules and the Nemean Lion, bell metal plaquette, Hercules standing left strangling the Nemean lion; behind is a tree stump with barren branch (in the form of a piece of coral) from which hangs a bow and quiver and behind which is a club, 76.5 x 56.5mm (Molinier 198; Bange 473; Lewis 10, fig. 9; Scaglia V.21), very fine old cast with suspension loop Ex Alain Edrei (1931-2021) collection, Paris [inventory number 56 in red on reverse].
