RIC follows Carson and Kent in distinguishing two issues of different weights within the coins of Treveri with the T-F and PTR mintmark. The lighter coins, such as the present piece, with an average of circa 3.50g are dated to 313-315 and are in RIC VII, while the heavier coins of circa 5.00g are dated rather earlier to 310-313 and are included in RIC VI (cf. RIC VI 870 for the heavier version of this coin).
