D N VALENTINIANVS P F AVG, pearl-diademed bust to left, wearing consular robes and holding mappa and sceptre / SALVS REI P, emperor standing facing, head to right, being crowned by Victory, who stands on globe he holds, holding labarum with christogram, and with foot on captive kneeling to left and looking back to right; star in right field, SMTES in exergue. Near Very Fine; scattered marks, wavy and clipped flan. Very Rare; one of perhaps ten examples to come to auction in the last twenty years. .
