The reverse type of this coin "VIR-2" is distinguished by Philippe Gysen as much rarer than the common type "VIR-1" which has an exergual line and the enemy kneeling rather than fallen before the horse (see P. Gysen, 'Nouvelles données concernant l'atelier de Serdica sous le règne de Probus' in RBN CXLVI, pp. 15-29 (2000)).
