Electrotype: Sicily, Katane AR Tetradrachm. Unsigned British Museum electrotype, copying an issue of circa 410 BC. Charioteer, holding goad and reins, driving galloping quadriga to left; above, Nike flying to right, crowning charioteer with wreath and holding tablet inscribed EYAIN (artist's name), meta to right; crab in exergue / Laureate head of Apollo to left; [K]ATANAIΩN bell hanging on knotted wool cord to left, crawfish behind. For prototype, cf. BMC 35 = BM Collection #1859,1219.1 = Head, Guide Period II.C 32, pl. 14, 32 (same dies). 17.09g, 26mm, 5h.
