Following the truce concluded between the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Tsardom of Russia on January 30, 1667, which incorporated Trans-Dnieper Ukraine into the State of Moscow, a new coinage was struck to imitate the existing Polish types. However, due to the low quality of the metal utilised, the coins were not accepted into circulation, and thus they are very rarely found in the collector's market today.
