Greco-Baktrian Kingdom, Eukratides I Megas AR Drachm. Circa 170-145 BC. Diademed and draped bust to right; within dotted border / The Dioskouroi on horses prancing to right, each holding spear and palm; ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ above, ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ below, A to lower left, monogram to lower right. Bopearachchi 2 var. (monogram not listed); Mitchiner 169c var. (slightly different monogram); Bopearachchi & Rahman - cf. 235-237 (different monograms and placement of A); SNG ANS - cf. 439-41 (same); HGC 12, 135; Roma E-100, lot 614. 4.15g, 19mm, 11h.

Good Very Fine. Excessively Rare; possibly the second known example.

This monogram is a slight variant of one which is only listed in Mitchiner, and the example pictured there shows the A in the upper left rather than lower left field, as was seen on the piece sold in Roma Numismatics E-Sale 100 (lot 614).
