Cosimo II de' Medici (1608-1621) Medaglia fusa senza data Ritratto della Moglie Maria Maddalena d'Austria Opus: Guillaume Duprè - Heraeus Tavole 63,2 - Jones II, 42/44 AE (g 206 - Ø 90,22 mm) Eccezionale e rara fusione. Guillaume Dupré (ca. 1579-1640) venne in Italia come importante artista francese nel 1613 su invito del duca di Mantova. Lì ritrasse la famiglia regnante e passò al Granducato di Toscana, dove catturò su medaglie il Granduca Cosimo Il de' Medici, sua moglie Maria Maddalena d'Austria, sua madre Cristina di Lorena e suo fratello Francesco. Exceptional and rare. Guillaume Dupré (around 1579-1640) came to Italy in 1613 as an important French artist invited by the Duke of Mantua. There, he portraied the reigning family and moved on to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, where he captured on medals the Grand Duke Cosimo II de' Medici, his wife Maria Maddalena of Austria, his mother Christina of Lorraine and his brother Francesco.
