GERMANIA (1735-1819) Medaglia a ricordo della grande diligenza artistica dell'incisore D.F. Loos - Sommer-B36 AG (g 13,46) R Daniel Friedrich Loos (1735-1819) nacque ad Altenburg, trascorse un periodo in Prussia e fu nominato capo incisore e medaglia alla corte di Berlino nel 1768. Forrer, citando Bolzenthal, afferma che Loos era un artista diligente che, in un tempo di cattivo gusto, si applicò allo studio della ritrattistica e dei tipi antichi. Loos fece anche varie scoperte nell'arte e nella tecnica di coniare monete. Aveva due figli, Friedrich Wilhelm e Gottfried Bernhard, che divennero medaglisti a pieno titolo. Segnetti nei campi. Daniel Friedrich Loos (1735-1819) was born in Altenburg; he spent some time in Prussia and he was nominated chief medal engraver at the Court of Berlin in 1768. Forrer, quoting Bolzenthal, says that Loos was a diligent artist that, at a time when bad taste was common, grappled in the study of portraiture and classical types. Loos also made various discoveries in the art and technique of coin minting. He had two sons, Friedrich Wilhelm and Gottfried Bernhard, they became full-fledged medalists. Minor marks in the fields.
