Bronze, Sinope (Paphlagonia) circa 136-137, Æ 12.13 g. L AELIVS – CAESAR Bare head r. Rev. C I [F] – ANN CLXXXII Bearded head of Bacchus facing. de Nanteuil 681. RPC 1229.
Extremely rare, less than ten specimens known. A very interesting and fascinating
portrait of Bacchus and a pleasant dark green patina. Minor scratches on
obverse, otherwise very fine / good very fine
