(S/M#M2-1) Red overprint on Provincial Bank of the Three Eastern Provinces One Yuan. A note which benefits from being rare in any form and also of stunning quality. Tied for the finest we have handled. New bank name overprint on face in pavilion vignette and seen with black English bank name arched above the previous issuer on the back. Nicely centered and just one of two PMG has graded at this level with none fine. The other PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 note sold as lot 52179 in our August 2013 Hong Kong sale and brought an impressive $5,975. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
