CHINA--FOREIGN BANKS. Chinese-American Bank of Commerce. 1, 5 & 10 Dollars, 15.7.1920. P-S232s2, S235s & S236s2. Presentation Book.

Red presentation book with gold inset lettering with bank seal at top center, Chinese text below and "Specimen of Bank Notes, of, The Chinese American Bank of Commerce, Shanghai Branch." 219mm x 129mm. Six pages with wax paper between. First page explains the CAB and the privilege to issue notes and that they are to be accepted for payment of all taxes, fees and assessments. Three designs are found in the book with the second issue One & Five Dollar notes being uniface specimens with face and back designs present. Specimen serial numbers, overprints and punch cancels. Two regular serial numbers and consecutive first issue $10 notes. Both overprinted and perforated specimen with one glued to show the face, and the second glued to show the back. The notes all show with the important signature of Eduard Kann at the Manager title, a historic figure in Numismatics.
