STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. Government of the Straits Settlements 100 Dollars, 24.9.1925. P-13.
(KNB11c-d) The note is a large format with an open design showing a small profile vignette of KGV at top center with prowling tiger below. Four large serial numbers at the corners along with printed date and signatures. Pleasing detail considering the grade and seen only with a few areas of mounting remnants at the back corners and blue ink at lower right of the back. Large watermarking with elephants at left and right watermark fields with denomination and "Straits Settlements," also observed at lower center. The last we handled was a PMG Very Fine 30 Net note with the comments retouched, and realized $10,755 as lot 22452 in our April 2013 Hong Kong sale. We feel this note without restorations will be slightly more desirable. PMG Very Fine 25 Net. Previously Mounted, Ink.
