THAILAND. Government of Thailand 1000 Baht, ND (1948). P-NL. Specimen.
Printed by TDLR. This incredible rarity is one that is currently unlisted in the SCWPM. The note shows with portrait of the King in uniform at upper left. Central vignette of the Temple of Dawn in a highly detailed fashion. Garuda bird at upper left and three headed elephant at lower right. TDLR specimen seal overprinted in red at lower left and seen with Thai and European solid zero serial numbers. Back design with Royal Throne Hall at center with ornate framework surrounding. Perfectly original paper is found with nice embossing of the overprints and lovely centering and margins. A printer's annotation and mounting remnants at the back right are all that distract. One of several important 1,000 Baht notes we are offering and a design that is likely missing in even the most complete collections. PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 Net. Previously Mounted.
