Potosi, Bolivia, silver 2 soles-sized monetary medal, 1825, to the Liberators of Colombia and Peru, NGC MS 61, finest and only example in NGC census, ex-Derman. Burnett-4A; Fonrobert-9467. 27mm. Obverse with Cerro de Potosi with city at base and radiant sunface above within legend . GRATITUD DE LOS EMPLEADOS DE POTOSI . 1825; reverse with standing llama facing left within wreath inside legend ALOS LIBERTADORES DE COLOMBIA Y PERU with six-petal flower at bottom. Lustrous with semi-prooflike surfaces covered with golden toning with spots of blue hues, sharply struck with ample detail. Pedigreed to the Alberto "Coco" Derman collection (Cayon Auction of December 2007, with original lot-tag 728.
