Sharp but lower-relief XF+ in chocolate color with just one patch of brighter brass below PORTO, scarce and interesting type with reverse legend ridiculing Admiral Haddock in the Mediterranean for taking "0" with "several ships." XRF: 39.53% copper, 52.85% zinc, 6.38% lead. Pedigreed to the John Adams Collection (with his handwritten tag) and the Stack's auction of April 2017 (lot 6006).
