Peru, gilt bronze 4R-sized medal, dated 1824, Bolivar / Ayacucho, by Atanasio Davalos, NGC UNC details / cleaned. Fonrobert-9178. 33mm. Obverse with uniformed bust of Bolivar above A. DAVALOS G. inside legend . A SU LIBERTADOR SIMON BOLIVAR.; reverse with arms of Peru inside legend EL PERU RESTAURADO EN AYACUCHO ANO DE 1824.; corded edge. Nicely gilt with substantial luster and detail, some minor surface flaws (as made), very little cleaning evidence beyond faint hairlines.
