USA (San Francisco Mint), gold $10 coronet Liberty "eagle," 1882-S, PCGS MS63 / Saddle Ridge Hoard, finest known in PCGS census. A stunning piece from the Saddle Ridge Hoard (see the prior lot for a writeup on the find) with satiny luster all throughout and exceptional strike detail, a few spots of rich orange toning. Frankly, this piece is conservatively graded in our opinion. This is the finest of just two examples found in the hoard (the other graded XF45). From the "Saddle Ridge Hoard" (stated on label), housed in a special promotional wooden box with booklet, flyer and small certificate.
