USA, Connecticut copper, 1787, mailed bust left, laughing head, PCGS XF details / environmental damage. Miller-6.1-M; W-2820. The "laughing head" is a popular variety among Connecticut coppers with a left-facing regal bust seemingly grinning. Although this example shows minor surface pitting from exposure, the sharpness of details throughout and nice centering suggest a higher adjectival grade for the piece.
