Obverse: bust of John Quincy Adams facing right, legend above JOHN QUINCY ADAMS PRESIDENT OF THE U. STATES 1825., F. at truncation. Reverse: clasped hands below crossed pipe and tomahawk, PEACE / AND / FRIENDSHIP between. Edge: plain. Choice medal struck to commemorate John Quincy Adams and his administration's Indian peace medal design. Glossy dark brown surfaces with a well-struck, high-relief design, tied with just one other for finest in the PCGS census.
