New Orleans, Louisiana, Insurance Bank of W.B. Partee & Co., 10 cents proof, July 1, 1851, pp A, rare. Haxby-unl. This is only the second example known in proof since the first, then described as "might be unique," was sold in the Eric P. Newman VII sale in 2015. W.B. Partee was a prominent business firm in pre-Civil War New Orleans. UNC with spurious serial and signature plus mounts on the back, bright paper quality with strong embossing for the design.
