Large bronze signal cannon (mortar), Spanish colonial (1600s-1700s), with raised M on side near bottom and spiked touch-hole. 5,008 grams, 4-3/4" tall x 4" in diameter. Typical upright design (albeit larger than average) with flared top and bottom, crude surfaces but with nice green patina, the M mark at bottom unique and the spiked touch-hole an interesting feature not usually seen on these items.
