Seville, Spain, gold bust 1/2 escudo, Ferdinand VI, 1749 PJ. Cal-572; KM-374; Fr-275. 1.77 grams. Very rare coin from this wreck and the only example of the type we have offered. Lustrous Mint State with light encrustation around the legends, slight bend in planchet. With photo-certificate and copy of Sotheby's The Uruguayan Treasure of the River Plate catalog (March 1993). Recovered from: Luz, sunk in 1752 off Montevideo, Uruguay
