Mexico City, Mexico, cob 8 reales, 1609 A, rare, Grade 2, PCGS VF detail / Santa Margarita. S-M16; KM-44.3; Cal-891. 22.99 grams. Broad flan with very bold full 09 of date, full oMA to left of full shield, nearly full cross, black encrustation near edge on reverse, some weak spots and light surface corrosion (also edge-thinning) but overall quite impressive for this wreck and desirable as properly certified by PCGS. With original Fisher tag and photo-certificate M84-090 (stated on label). Recovered from: Santa Margarita, sunk in 1622 west of Key West, Florida
