Santiago, Chile, gold bust 8 escudos, Ferdinand VI, 1751 J, PCGS AU58 / La Luz. Cal-824; KM-3: Fr-5. Choice full strike (no central weakness) and lustrous fields, with lovely streak of rainbow toning on bottom half of obverse, a few light scratches in front of face that must be why this coin was not given a full MS grade. With photo-certificate, pedigreed to the Val y Mexia Collection (stated on label). Recovered from: Luz, sunk in 1752 off Montevideo, Uruguay
