Santiago, Chile, gold bust 4 escudos, Ferdinand VI, 1749 J, NGC AU 53 / La Luz (Shipwreck Blue Label). Cal-740; KM-2; Fr-6. 13.45 grams. Strong luster for the grade, as the coin is probably technically UNC but with marks and wear from salvage (also centrally weakly struck), nice rims. With photo-certificate, pedigreed to the Val y Mexia Collection (stated on label). Recovered from: Luz, sunk in 1752 off Montevideo, Uruguay
