While coins from this assayer are plentiful, Nesmith had seen only one of this particular variety and this specimen may be the very one since Hubbard purchased it in 1950, according to his handwritten note on the coin holder and noted "unique to RIN" (Robert I. Nesmith) who didn't publish his book until later. Nicely struck, with full legends and interiors on a round planchet. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection of Mexican Charles-Joanna Coinage (stated on label). Accompanied by original tag or holder.
