Mexico City, Mexico, cob 2 reales, Philip II, assayer F/O below mintmark Mo (not oM) to left, unique, NGC XF 45. S-M12; KM-unl (31 for type); Cal-unl. 6.57 grams. Choice full cross, good full shield with clear "MoF" to right showing the F punched over something, presumably the prior assayer O, labelled by NGC as simply F/O (this and the previous lot being the only F/O's in the NGC census), richly toned all over, tiny edge-splits. Pedigreed to the Clyde Hubbard Collection, with his original tag/envelope.
