France (Paris mint), gold 1/2 louis d'or au bandeau, Louis XV, 1768-A, rare, NGC XF details / plugged, finest and only example in NGC census. KM-517.1; Gad-330 (R3); Dup-1644; L4L-493 (R4); Fr-465. Very scarce date, the details all bold but slightly crude in execution and preservation, with a plug so irregular that we suspect it might have been related to weight-regulation and not just suspension as a pendant.
