Issued examples of this denomination are often found problematic and with weak paper and colors. This example, however, is a country mile better than the norm, and it should be no surprise that it is the finest graded by PMG and the only example in the Population Report above the Very Fine grade point. To date, the best 1946 50 Francs seen in a PMG holder and a very pretty issued note. PMG comments "staple holes". PMG Pop 1/None Finer.
