5 pounds, 1st December 1956, serial number 2E 1573. Green on light blue and pink, guilloche at center, reverse grey-blue, State emblem at center. An extremely scarce modern era note with only 7 notes of this year graded by PMG and a total on 11 notes when the 1965 and 1966 notes are included. A key note missing in even the most advanced collections. One of two notes in the third highest grade in the PMG population report with only two notes higher in 55 and 66 EPQ both of which were sold by us in previous years. PMG Pop 2/2 Finer.
