CONSTANTIAE AVGVSTI, Constantia seated left on curule chair, raising right hand, 3.32g, 2h (RIC I [Rome], 14; von Kaenel Type 9; Lyon 19; RSC 6; BMCRE 13-5; BN 29), a small edge chip at reverse 8 o'clock to reveal embedded fabric, otherwise evenly waterworn, strictly fine, but an important and scarcely encountered early issue from the Britannic Conqueror Claudius; evidently brought to these shores by his successful invasion forces in AD 43, desirable thus.
