The 'White Rose' Collection | Byzantine Empire, Romanus IV(1068-1071), AV Histamenon Nomisma, 4.39g, Constantinople, Michael VII standing facing, holding labarum and akakia, between standing figures of Constantius and Andronicus each holding cross on globe and akakia, rev. nimbate figure of Christ standing facing on footstool, crowning heads of the standing figures of Romanus and Eudocia either side (Sear 1861; DOC 2), good very fine.
