This rare one-year type is the earliest 'Abbasid dinar to bear a full mint-name. It was struck to mark al-Ma'mun's capture of Baghdad from his brother and rival, al-Amin. Dhu'l-Riyasatayn, meaning 'Holder of the Two Ministries,' was the title of al-Fadl b. Sahl, al-Ma'mun's Persian minister.
